Best Buy’s selling the Asus 2-in-1 Touchscreen Chromebook for just $449, which is a savings of $200. Personally, I love Chromebooks, as they make fantastic everyday machines. They’re largely virus-free thanks to the automatic updates and they have good battery life. The machine that’s on sale today offers a versatile 2-in-1 design as well as a vibrant touchscreen, all for under $500.
The Asus Chromebook comes equipped with an Intel Core i3-1215U CPU, Intel UHD Graphics 630, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of SSD storage. That’s more than enough oomph for everyday tasks like checking e-mail, browsing the web, watching Netflix and so on. The 16-inch display also has a resolution of 1920×1200 and is touch-enabled. The convertible design is nice, too. You can swing the screen around 360 degrees and use it like a tablet or prop the machine up like a tent for sharing information or watching movies.
